Many Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to react to Kalvin Phillips’ assessment of their frustrating 2-1 defeat to West Ham on Friday evening.
One player that has been a regular in the side, and played the full 90 minutes against West Ham was Kalvin Phillips, who was making his ninth appearance of the season in all competitions.
The midfielder’s impressive run of performances has seen him called up to the England senior squad, and he’ll be eager to inspire his side to turning around their poor run of form at the earliest of opportunities.
Phillips issued his assessment of the defeat to West Ham on Twitter on Saturday, and labelled it as a ‘disappointing result’, but was keen to ensure his side turn their attentions to their next match against Newcastle United on Wednesday.
A number of the Elland Road faithful were quick to praise Phillips after this message, as they hope the midfielder can play his part in getting results heading back in the right direction.
Hopefully we are leaning valuables lessons & will put it right wednesday. You boys can do it – just need a bit of belief back. ?

Frustrating last night. We looked tired. Hopefully 3 points against newcastle will get us back on the horse and shut all the so called experts up saying we'll go down

Form is temporary; class is permanent. Keep going; this is the best offensive-intent football I have seen from Leeds in the many years I have watched. Just need to keep thinking positively. Thanks for making us proud. #ALAW #MOT

It’s clear to see from the replies above that these Leeds fans have every faith in Kalvin Phillips and believe that their side can turn it around, though things won’t be easy with Newcastle and Manchester United up next.
