Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to recently posted footage of Whites striker Joe Gelhardt.
This comes after the official Leeds Twitter account shared a post on their page that contained footage of Gelhardt scoring a goal for the Leeds U23 side in their recent 7-1 win over Fulham.
The footage showed Gelhardt scoring Leeds’ sixth goal of the match with a shot into the bottom corner from the edge of Fulham’s penalty box which Leeds Live described as a “great finish.”
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this footage.

The 18-year-old signed to Marcelo Bielsa’s side back in the previous summer transfer window from Wigan Athletic for a fee of £900k. Since then, the striker, who is currently valued at £1.17 million, has yet to make an appearance for the Leeds’ senior side but has made 10 appearances for the U23s in which he has managed to score five goals (per Transfermarkt).

Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear that these Leeds fans were impressed by what they saw from Gelhardt in this latest U23s game. The fact that some of them have called for Gelhardt to be included in Leeds’ next senior matchday squad against Burnley just goes to show how much they think he could be a useful addition to Bielsa’s side.
Do you think Gelhardt should play against Burnley?
Yes
No
Given how Leeds have lost three out of their last four Premier League games, maybe including Gelhardt in their next game against Burnley and giving him his first taste of first-team action could benefit both him and the team.
