Supporters of Leeds United have recently reacted to an injury claim on the Whites’ Scottish central defender Liam Cooper.

During the upcoming round of Premier League fixtures, Marcelo Bielsa’s side hosts Sean Dyche’s Burnley at Elland Road on Sunday (per Premier League).

Ahead of the match, Bielsa provided an injury update on his squad to the media during his pre-match press conference.

While Diego Llorente will be fit to face the Clarets, Cooper will be a notable absentee for the Whites.

Over the duration of the Premier League season so far, the club’s Scottish captain has missed just three games in the top flight (per Transfermarkt).

Those came on the opening day of the campaign against Liverpool and then in the games against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa.

So far this term, Cooper has made 11 appearances in the top flight, in which he has managed to bag a goal once for Bielsa’s side (per WhoScored).

His performances for the club have been impressive, too, as he has picked up a 7.01/10 average rating and been the second-best performer in Leeds’ squad in the league.
