Many Leeds United fans have flocked to the latest tweet from Phil Hay that recently emerged on social media.

Hay recently tweeted an injury update about the Whites ahead of their Premier League game against West Ham United. Hay’s tweet said that Marcelo Bielsa has now confirmed that he expects Robin Koch to be out for three months, while summer signing Diego Llorente has also been ruled out for two weeks because of a muscle injury.

Has Llorente been a bad signing for Leeds?

The journalist’s tweet caught the attention of many Leeds fans, who began talking about the injury update. They made their frustration very clear about it.

What did Leeds fans make of this tweet from Phil Hay?

Starting with an easy one what shirt number does Bamford wear for Leeds United?

Llorente had joined the Elland Road-based club from Real Sociedad in the summer transfer window for a fee of £18 million. He made his debut for the Whites in their recent 3-1 loss to Chelsea, as he played 81 minutes of the game.

Earlier in the season, the Spaniard was suffering from a groin injury that had derailed his progress at Elland Road. Hay’s tweet caught the attention of some other Leeds fans too.

Because of the injuries suffered by Llorente and Koch, Leeds now have only three centre-backs fit – Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk and young Oliver Casey (as per Transfermarkt).

While Llorente’s injury is certainly frustrating for fans since the Spaniard had only just returned to action, the Spaniard had a poor fitness record at La Real too. He had constantly faced multiple muscle injuries and it suggests that this is a recurring problem for him.

So perhaps, Leeds should’ve made a proper background check when they were signing Llorente as his signature hasn’t yielded any returns so far.
