Football pundit Micah Richards has been sharing his thoughts on Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
This comes after Richards recently made an appearance on the BBC’s Final Score programme where he spoke about a variety of different clubs across English football.
On the topic of Everton and their recent 1-1 draw against Burnley, Richards had this to say on Calvert-Lewin and his goal in the game at Turf Moor.
He said: “The positions he takes and the runs he’s making now, he’s more mature.
“It’s a sign of a top scorer that you don’t always have to play well or score wonder-goals but he still scores and makes a difference and that’s what he’s doing.”
The 23-year-old, who is currently valued at £36 million, signed to Everton back in the 2016 summer transfer window from fellow Premier League side Sheffield United for a fee of £1.62 million.
Since then, the Englishman has made a total of 147 appearances for the Merseyside club in which he has managed to score 44 goals and provide 11 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Micah Richards’ comments on Calvert-Lewin…
Given how Calvert-Lewin has managed to score 11 goals in 11 Premier League games for Everton so far this season, this shows that he has made a difference for the club this year on 11 different occasions as Richards said.
As well as Richards, Calvert-Lewin has also been on the receiving end of some praise from Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti who previously said that the Englishman is now a “complete striker.”
In our view, Calvert-Lewin has been in excellent form so far this season with the number of goals he’s scored. If he continues to score on a regular basis for the club until the end of the campaign, he could well be in the running to win the Golden Boot.
