Charles Watts has been speaking on the latest edition of his YouTube show about all things Arsenal after the Gunners lost 2-1 to Everton to make it one league win in ten games.

In what month did Mikel Arteta take over as the Arsenal boss?

Watts did not hold back in his assessment of Arsenal, and he claimed that he thinks that the Gunners are now relegation candidates, and considering they are just four points above the relegation zone, we can see why he is saying that.

He said: (3:06) “They’re relegation candidates, you have to say it; on current form, on what they have in the squad; they’re relegation candidates.

“It pains me to say it, but what you are seeing on the pitch week in week out leaves you with no confidence that they’re going to pick up many points going forward, and it’s a real, real worry because Mikel Arteta cannot find a solution.

“It’s not even a blip; it’s a crisis; it is a full-blown crisis.”

Do you think Arsenal are relegation candidates?

TIF Thoughts on Arsenal and relegation…

If you look at the form over the last ten games, then only Sheffield United, who have two points and sit bottom of the table, have picked up fewer points than the Gunners, which is concerning.

The teams directly below them like Burnley, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Fulham have all picked up a decent amount of points in the last five games to start to close the gap with Arsenal, and though you could argue Watts is overreacting if they keep up this form, then they could be in trouble.

So we will be watching on to see if anything improves, but at the moment, we don’t agree with Watts.

We think that Arsenal will be fine, but there is no question that their form at the moment is very poor.
