A lot of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to slam Hoops midfielder Scott Brown for his performance in the Glasgow club’s latest Premiership clash with Hibernian

Brown featured in all of the Hoops’ Premiership games this term leading up to Saturday’s fixture so it may not have come as a big surprise that he started this clash at Easter Road

Which club did Brown join Celtic from?

However, perhaps you could argue that the midfielder didn’t enjoy his greatest ever outing in this fixture, as he brought Hibs winger Martin Boyle down inside of the penalty box early on in the second half of the game and gave the home side a penalty.

While Kevin Nisbet’s spot-kick was saved by Celtic stopper Scott Bain, Jamie Murphy was able to convert the rebound and give Hibs the lead in the 52nd minute

The 35-year-old left the pitch 20 minutes after the home side took the lead, as he was replaced by centre-back Shane Duffy

So, what did these Celtic fans make of Brown’s performance versus Hibernian?

Many Celtic fans criticised the Scottish midfielder’s performance versus Hibs, with some Hoops supporters questioning Brown’s quality.

Meanwhile, some supporters of the Glasgow club shared concern that Brown’s performances will ultimately end up costing Celtic what would be a historic 10th Premiership title in a row this term.
