Celtic pundit Jim Orr has recently made a claim about the possibility of players leaving the club next summer.

Orr was a guest on the latest episode of the ‘A Celtic State of Mind’ podcast and the panel discussed multiple issues involving the Bhoys. Orr believes that several Celtic players could leave the club at the end of the current season and it will be a fresh start for the Hoops.

Following Celtic’s loss in the Champions League qualifying stages against Ferencvaros, Neil Lennon had said that in some cases, players don’t want to be at Parkhead and he had even urged players to get their mentality right (as per BBC Sport).

Orr feels that irrespective of whether Celtic win the league or not, some players could leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

He said: “In my opinion, I think that there’ll be a lot of people leaving at the end of the season, whether we do the ten or not. I think there’ll be a new start, like a new era next year after the season finishes.”

TIF Thoughts on Orr’s comments…

In the summer transfer window, Odsonne Edouard was linked with a move to the Premier League. Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Leicester City were looking to sign the Frenchman (as per the Sun).

Olivier Ntcham was also linked with a move to the Premier League with the likes of Everton, Southampton and West Ham supposedly targetting him (as per 90Min).

Serie A giants Milan were looking to sign Kristoffer Ajer too. Not just them, but Ryan Christie was also linked with a move to Burnley.

This shows that some players might be looking to leave Celtic soon and Lennon has already hinted at that. So it is understandable why Orr feels that the Hoops might lose players next summer.
