Celtic pundit Kevin Graham has recently made a claim about Christopher Jullien’s potential return from injury.

Graham was a guest on the latest episode of the ‘A Celtic State of Mind’ podcast and the panel discussed multiple issues involving the Bhoys. One topic of discussion was the club’s upcoming game against Hibernian and Graham feels that it will be a risk for Jullien to feature against Hibs.

Jullien had been suffering from a back problem and he had even travelled to Germany to get the issue sorted. Celtic’s assistant manager John Kennedy has confirmed that the Frenchman is getting better and the club is looking to get him back on the pitch during the international break.

Graham seemed unsure about the idea of Jullien featuring against Hibs unless the Frenchman is a naturally fit player.

He said: “I probably agree with you with Jullien, the fact that he hasn’t kicked a ball for so many weeks, throwing him in from the start seems an unlikely risk. Unless he’s just naturally fit, but mind you, it seems to take our players months to get match-fit.”

TIF Thoughts on Graham’s comments regarding Jullien…

The back injury happens to be Jullien’s first major fitness issue since he joined Celtic and it suggests that the 27-year-old has a pretty sound fitness record.

His last Premiership appearance for the club came back in September against Ross County and for his performances in the league, Jullien has picked up a rating of 7.47 so far. He has been the club’s second-best performing player in the campaign and it shows how important he is for the Bhoys.

So if Jullien is deemed fit enough for the game against Hibernian, Neil Lennon shouldn’t hesitate to play the Frenchman.
