Duncan Castles has been speaking on the latest edition of The Transfer Window podcast about news from many Premier League clubs.

One of the clubs which he spent some time on was Wolverhampton Wanderers, and he used most of that time to talk about Adama Traore’s contract talks with the club.

There have been claims that the 24-year-old has become annoyed with how talks were going and that he felt he has been left out of the team because of the deadlock with regards to negotiations over a new deal.

However, Castles has claimed this is not the case, saying that his representatives are not concerned with the situation and feel that there is no problem with Wolves, but they also want to get Traore the best possible deal.

He said: “[There is] no sense from his representatives that they feel there is a problem here or that the situation will not be resolved down the line.

“There isn’t pressure on their part to get a new deal, but by the same token, they are not going to accept a figure from Wolves that doesn’t represent the client’s full value.”

Do you think this Traore situation is nothing to worry about?

Yes, it will all be fine

TIF Thoughts on Adama Traore and Duncan Castles’ information on contract talks…

Traore has featured in all eight of Wolves’ Premier League games, but he has only started three and has failed to provide a goal or an assist in any of those games.

His average rating in the league so far is also well below the one he achieved last season, so on that evidence, we can see why Traore has not been starting that many games for Wolves.

However, it is good to see that, according to Castles, the rumours over Traore’s contract talks turning sour do not appear to be true, and his representatives are just trying to get the best possible deal for their client.

We think that Traore’s situation might have been blown way out of proportion, and if what Castles said is true, then we don’t think Wolves fans should be worried about the player’s future.
