West Ham United insider @ExWHUemployee has expressed his doubt that there will be any takeover of the Irons in the near future.

The most recent widely reported takeover claim surrounding David Moyes’ side was made around two months ago, back in the middle of September.

The Sun initially claimed that David Gold and David Sullivan had rejected a £350m offer from ‘an elusive American consortium’ at some point in August.

A follow-up report from the same outlet then claimed that the offer from this ‘mysterious’ consortium had been upped to £400m but had still been rejected.

During the latest episode of The West Ham Way Podcast, @ExWHUemployee addressed any other recent takeover rumours and cast doubt over them.

Who did West Ham United face in their opening fixture of the 2020/21 Premier League season?

He said: “If you are to believe all the stuff that was emerging two or three months ago, we have approximately one month and 12 days before we will be having new owners.

“If you remember, [a] secret ITK [agent] told us on Spencer Owen’s YouTube show that we would definitely have new owners by January. [I] took a bit of stick for saying that we won’t.

“There’s been no official offer for the club at this point. So, a takeover by January is very, very, very, very, very unlikely.”

TIF Thoughts on what @ExWHUemployee said about a club takeover…

As can be seen in what the in-the-know podcaster had to say, he believes that the London Stadium club will not have new owners by the turn of the year.

Do you believe that West Ham will have new owners by January?

No, not going to happen

In the reporting of the interest from the American consortium, it was claimed that Sullivan’s valuation of the club is ‘far higher‘ than the £400m that had supposedly been offered to them.

So, it would be interesting to know just how much the Irons’ owners currently value the Irons at and if anybody would be willing to pay that the take over the club.

However, only time will tell if there is currently a takeover of the Hammers in the offing.
