Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have criticised Spurs right-back Matt Doherty’s performance in the Lilywhites’ 4-0 UEFA Europa League win over Ludogorets at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening.

This clash with Ludogorets was Spurs’ fourth game and third win of the 2020/21 Europa League group stage and it leaves the north London club sitting in second place in Group J, level on points with group leaders Royal Antwerp, who handed Spurs their only loss of the group stage so far.

Doherty was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes in this match and was given a player rating of 7/10 for his performance by Football.london’s Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold, who stated that the Republic of Ireland international was ‘busy’ in Thursday’s fixture and suggested that Doherty should have even gotten an assist in the second half.

So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans make of Doherty’s performance versus Ludogorets?

Plenty of the Tottenham Hotspur fans that discussed Doherty’s performance in this game on Twitter were far more critical of the 28-year-old than Gold was, with some Lilywhites supporters sharing that they are yet to be convinced by the right-back, who Spurs signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers for £15.12m back in August
