Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs news Twitter account @Daily_Hotspur in which they relayed the news that Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is expected to miss next weekend’s north London derby.
This tweet cites Football.London’s chief Arsenal reporter Chris Wheatley as the source of this news and that comes after Wheatley wrote an article discussing Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s recent comments on the Ghana international’s injury status.
As explained by Wheatley, the £45m-rated midfielder has been out of action for the Lilywhites’ north London rivals ever since he sustained a thigh problem in Arsenal’s 3-0 Premier League loss to Aston Villa on 8th November.
Now, following the Gunners’ 2-1 loss to Wolverhampton Wanderers this past weekend, Arteta has claimed that Partey is set to remain on the sidelines for Arsenal’s “next few games” and with Arteta’s side set to meet Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham on Sunday, it would then appear as though the midfielder, who Arsenal signed for £45m in October, will miss the north London derby.
So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans react to this news on Partey after it was shared by @Daily_Hotspur?

Indeed, it seems as though plenty of Lilywhites fans view this injury update on the Arsenal midfielder as a positive for Tottenham, which is no surprise as the Ghanaian has the joint-fifth highest rating (6.7, as per WhoScored) for the Gunners so far this season.
