A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold in which he shared some footage of Giovani Lo Celso’s performance for Argentina in their 1-1 draw with Paraguay on Friday.
The 24-year-old Spurs midfielder was introduced to this game in the 29th minute when he replaced Exequiel Palacios and 12 minutes after coming on as a substitute, he provided the assist for Nicolas Gonzalez to score what would be Argentina’s only goal of the game.
In his tweet, Gold shared footage of Lo Celso’s assist for Gonzalez’s goal in the 41st minute, as well as some of the £31.5m-rated Spurs man’s other actions in this game.
So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans respond to Gold’s tweet sharing this Lo Celso footage?
Nice little showcase of what Giovani Lo Celso can do in Argentina's draw against Paraguay yesterday. Tenacity and creativity. Should have had two assists, but Messi's goal was ruled out by VAR for a much earlier foul. https://t.co/KaKe8aWAMn

Gold was full of praise for the midfielder in his post, stating that Lo Celso provided a ‘nice little showcase’ of what he can do versus Paraguay and plenty of Tottenham fans were seemingly in agreement with the journalist as they also heaped praise on the 24-year-old in response to this tweet.
Phenomenal player, potential to be one of the best midfielders in the prem ??

However, not all of the replies to this post were positive, as one particular Spurs fan criticised the impact Lo Celso has had on the pitch for the Lilywhites in his time with the north London club.
Almost a year and a half with us and hasn’t done that much. Yeah he’s got some technical ability but has had very little impact on the team

Were you impressed by this footage of Lo Celso?
YES
NO
So, judging by the replies to Gold’s tweet, while one Spurs fan was critical of Lo Celso, it certainly seems as though many Tottenham fans were impressed by his performance versus Paraguay and hold him in high regard.
