Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media to react to a Twitter post from @LastWordOnSpurs in which they relayed an update from @FCInterNewsit regarding Christian Eriksen.
According to the post, the Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no ‘desire’ to bring the Dane back to North London after he left the club back in January for a reported fee of £24.3m to join the Serie A outfit (as per Transfermarkt).
Since the 28-year-old swapped the English capital for Milan, he has appeared just 33 times, contributing four goals and three assists. So far this season, he has started in just 43% of the Nerazzurri’s league fixtures and therefore it could be argued he’s yet to make the right impression on his current boss Antonio Conte.
How have the Spurs fans reacted to reports Daniel Levy is not interested in bringing Christian Eriksen back?
Good. He looks totally shot of confidence and that won’t change by coming back to #thfc. Sensational player in his prime, but this is not one we should look to revisit.

It’s clear from the above responses that these Spurs fans would not be keen to see Eriksen return to the club and judging by their comments, it seems some were unhappy with the way he expressed his desire to leave the Lilywhites.
Although it may be understandable as to why some of the supporters feel this way with regards to the Dane, in our view, it’s important not to overlook the good he did for the club during his time there – most notably, contributing 69 goals and 89 assists in 305 appearances (as per Transfermarkt).
