Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news surrounding their club.
This comes after @LastWordOnSpurs shared a post relaying news originally published in an article by The Independent.
The article claimed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola “would like City to investigate the possibility of signing” Harry Kane from the north London club.
Last Word On Spurs’ tweet then added that “Kane still has over three and a half years remaining on his deal and Spurs would demand well in excess of £100m” for the striker.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest news.
So, what did these Spurs fans make of this transfer claim on Harry Kane?
That’s never going to happen. In my opinion he is currently worth a world record fee.

Kane is a product of the Spurs youth academy and made his senior debut for Tottenham back in 2011 under former Lilywhites manager Harry Redknapp.
In seriousness City would have to probably pay at least 250 mil for Kane. That ain’t going to happen

Overall, the Englishman, who is currently valued at £108 million, has made 302 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side across all competitions in which he has managed to score an impressive 201 goals along the way (per Transfermarkt).
Errr £100m wouldn’t even buy his left boot! He’s priceless!

Kane’s latest performance for Spurs in their recent 2-0 win over Guardiola’s side saw him pick up a decent match rating of 7.39/10 (per WhoScored).
After this season he is unsellable

Do you think Spurs would ever sell Harry Kane?
No, they wouldn't sell
Yes, if he wanted to leave
Try well in excess of 200 million.

This is the first piece of madness I’ve heard from Pep

There’s just no way Kane leaves. Not for any price. Why would he want to go now?
Even if in the insane scenario that Kane actually did want to leave, why would Levy take anything less than £300 million for the best striker (+cm) in the pl

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that these Spurs fans are not particularly worried about the possibility of Kane leaving north London for a move to Manchester anytime soon, with other Spurs fans claiming a much higher transfer fee than the one suggested in the post would be required for Kane to leave the club.
In our view, given the impressive amount of goals Kane has managed to score in a Spurs shirt over the years, it would seem unlikely that they would be willing to allow him to leave for another Premier League club.
