Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from the @LastWordOnSpurs in which they highlighted that none of BBC Sport’s 25 football experts had predicted the club to finish in the top four this season.
Jose Mourinho’s side currently sit second in the table, just a point behind the current leaders Leicester City having won five, drawn two and lost one of their opening eight fixtures. The Lilywhites’ only defeat came in their opening fixture of the campaign when they were beaten 1-0 by Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton.
How have these Spurs fans reacted to the fact they had not been tipped to finish in the top four?
Seriously alarming that Chris Waddle has put United first

Do you think Spurs will finish in the top four this season?
Yes
No
It’s clear from what these fans have had to say that they’re not getting carried away just yet despite the fact they’ve enjoyed such a positive start to the campaign. However, others were a little more surprised by the predictions, in particular those of the former Spurs man, Chris Waddle.
Also I think Chris Waddle is delusional ??????

Chris Waddle tipping Man U for the title ?

In our view, it remains too early to predict where Tottenham will finish in the Premier League this season but we suspect Mourinho won’t be losing any sleep over the fact the BBC’s experts didn’t think they had what it takes to qualify for the Champions League next season before the start of the campaign.
