Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to a transfer update on Inter defender Milan Skriniar.

According to ESPN (via Daily Hotspur), Jose Mourinho remains keen on signing the Slovakian international. Spurs could attempt to sign the centre-back during the January transfer window but the report suggests that a summer move is perhaps more likely, with the club needing to raise funds through player sales in order to afford the £45 million-rated defender.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

Spurs were heavily linked with a move for the 25-year-old in the recent summer transfer window, but in the end, a move never materialised, and Spurs ended up signing fellow centre-back Joe Rodon from Swansea City. However, it seems as if Mourinho is still keen on signing the former Sampdoria man, which is perhaps unsurprising when you consider that they have managed just one clean sheet in the Premier League so far this season.

Would you sell Alli in order to sign Skriniar?

So, what did these Spurs fans make of the news that their club could target Milan Skriniar in January or next summer?

Overall, it seems as if a lot of Spurs fans seem convinced that if the club do need to sell players in order to afford Skriniar, then Dele Alli would the obvious choice, with the 24-year-old seemingly out of favour with Mourinho at the moment. Other Spurs fans simply aired that they want to see Skriniar join.
