In their latest UEFA Nations League game, England managed to earn a dominant 4-0 win over Iceland, but despite helping his team to get this positive result from Wednesday evening’s game, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been on the receiving end of some criticism from plenty of international fans on Twitter.
The Independent gave Kane a player rating of seven for his performance, which was a higher rating than as many as eight of his teammates, while only three England players received a higher player rating than Kane, with the outlet sharing praise for the £108m-rated forward’s ‘excellent link-play’.
Kane didn’t get on the scoresheet himself, but he did manage to provide one assist in Wednesday’s fixture, as the 27-year-old attacker helped Mason Mount to score in the 24th minute.
So, what did these international fans make of Kane’s performance for England versus Iceland?
Kane has been terrible.
Poor control, and just blasting it goalwards. Teammates in better positions

Think Kane’s been poor during these games, looks like a unit nowadays. Been selfish, ignored teammates in better positions.

What’s happened to Harry Kane? Bloke looks absolutely knackered like he’s running through mud #ENGICE

Why does Harry Kane always look like bambi on ice with the ball at his feet if players are around him in the box??

Kane’s been poor

Despite providing an assist in this game, the Tottenham striker was blasted by plenty of international fans who seemingly weren’t impressed by his performance in this Nations League fixture.
I personally do not think Harry Kane is a good striker

Kane on the other hand

Kane’s shooting has been poor by his standards for 4-5 weeks now. He’s still a threat and a brilliant passer but not on top form in front of goal.

Kane was removed from the pitch in the 76th minute of the contest. Just one minute before he was replaced by Tammy Abraham, the England captain took a free-kick and was unsuccessful in converting it, with the Spurs striker failing to beat the wall with his attempt.
With that in mind, it may be understandable why some international fans took to Twitter to criticise Kane’s free-kick-taking ability.
Dont know why Kane thinks he’s good at free kicks?
— kieran (@kkirschy23) November 18, 2020
Why’s Harry Kane so bad at free kicks? He strikes the ball so well but his free kicks are so so bad
— Christian (@Christianjw92) November 18, 2020
Does Kane deserve this criticism?
YES
NO
So, it’s clear from these tweets that Kane’s performance for England versus Iceland certainly didn’t go down very well with some international fans.
