A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs-focused Twitter account @LastWordOnSpurs in which they shared some comments that were made by Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes on a recent edition of The Official Manchester United Podcast

Fernandes joined Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester United from Sporting CP in January for £49.5m but in the summer before that transfer occurred, Tottenham had attempted to sign him, with Sporting president Frederico Varandas claiming that the Lilywhites were the only club to table a “serious” offer for the playmaker in that transfer window.

As per Football.london, the £72m-rated Portugal international expressed his frustration over the breakdown of his move to Tottenham in the summer of 2019 during this recent edition of The Official Manchester United Podcast. Fernandes explained that he “was close” to joining Spurs that summer and he “was sad” that his former club rejected the north London side’s offer.

So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans react to Fernandes’ comments after they were shared on Twitter by @LastWordOnSpurs?

Some Spurs supporters replied to this tweet to indicate that they aren’t too upset that this transfer didn’t happen.
