Following Tottenham Hotspur’s narrow victory over West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Sunday, many of the club’s supporters have flocked to social media in order to criticise the performance of Moussa Sissoko.
The Frenchman started in the midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele for Jose Mourinho’s side and according to WhoScored, his display earned him an underwhelming performance rating of 6.34/10, making him Spurs’ worst-performing player of those who started the game.
Were you left frustrated by Sissoko's performance at West Brom?
Yes
No
Harry Kane’s late, headed goal resulted in the Lilywhites taking all three points back to North London, taking their points tally in the Premier League to 17, just one less than the current leaders Leicester City.
What have the Spurs fans had to say with regards to Sissoko’s performance at West Brom?
Sissoko was awful. Managed to tackle himself. Does a job normally but we could do better.

I think Sissoko in the midfield is a problem for Spurs. I’d suggest Ndombele move to 8.

Sissoko shouldn’t have started and was as poor as usual. Son and Bale were poor, the subs changed the game for us. NDombele was average, decent in places. Spurs need to find ways to break down 5 at the back before the 88th min. Liverpool dealt with that well last season

The problem is, was and always will be, Sissoko. A joke of a footballer stealing a living, who would not get a look in at any other top half prem team.

All off it today but Spurs will never win anything with Sissoko playing so many minutes in midfield. Does an okay job defensively/off ball but slows down/ completely stops so many transitions and attacking threat

Ask Daniel if he has the receipt for Sissoko
— Rory (@Rory4Spurs) November 8, 2020
Sissoko slows the game down so much. Needs to leave this team, or become a centre back.

Sissoko is a fraud though, dunno how he’s lasted this long in football

We need to start our best midfield instead of starting sissoko

It’s clear from the above responses that these Spurs supporters were disappointed by the former Newcastle midfielder’s display on Sunday and they pulled no punches when airing their feelings on social media.
To date, the 31-year-old has made 6 appearances in this Premier League season and his average performance rating stands at 6.73/10, suggesting he has had a solid start to the campaign and therefore such harsh criticism in our view, feels a little bit harsh.
