Many Tottenham Hotspur supporters have flocked to social media in order to respond to a Twitter post from @LastWordOnSpurs in which they shared the news Hwang-hee Chan, who started alongside Heung-min Son for South Korea on Tuesday has tested positive for the virus that saw the Premier League brought to a halt earlier this year.
With Jose Mourinho’s side set to take on Manchester City this weekend, according to Steve Han, the club arranged for the 28-year-old to fly back to London early but with the news his teammate has contracted the virus, his participation in the aforementioned fixture could now be in doubt.
How have these Spurs fans reacted to this update regarding Heung-min Son?
This needs to stop. Risking lives and health for a friendly match involving world wide travel is negligent.

Putting in a national break in these times is a disgrace. Not only risking injuries but also absolutely stupid in a -spreading world. No words https://t.co/3N2qjiizNF

It’s clear from the above responses that many of these Spurs fans are concerned having learned of the news regarding their player’s international teammate. Although he hasn’t been ruled out of the weekend’s fixture yet, given the £67.5m-rated star has scored eight goals in eight Premier League appearances so far this season, if he is unavailable, that will come as a blow to their chances going into the game versus Pep Guardiola’s side.
