Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer news surrounding their club.

This comes after Spurs news Twitter account @HotspurRelated shared a post on their page relaying news originally published in an article from Italian media outlet Il Messaggero.

How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

The article claims that the north London club are waiting to sign Arkadiusz Milik in the upcoming January transfer window. The article also claims that Milik’s club Napoli want €10m-15m (£8.9m-13.3m) for the striker whose contract runs out next summer.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from Spurs fans who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.

So, what did these Spurs fans make of this post?

Spurs were heavily linked with a transfer move for Milik in the previous summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old striker, who is currently valued at £24.3 million, signed to Napoli back in the 2016 summer transfer window from Ajax for a fee of £28.8 million

Overall, the striker has made 122 appearances for Napoli in which he has managed to score 48 goals and provided five assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

Do you think Spurs should sign Milik in January?

Now that this Spurs news account has relayed this information onto their page, this paved the way for a lot of Spurs fans to have their say on the matter.

Looking at the replies to this post, it appears that this group of Spurs fans are not interested in the idea of Spurs splashing out some money to sign Milik in January when he potentially could be available on a free transfer in the future.

In our view, it would be unwise for the club to sign Milik in January when the club already has Harry Kane and Carlos Vinicius in their squad that play in the centre-forward position.
