Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have recently reacted to a transfer report linking Christian Eriksen with Spurs’ north London rivals, Arsenal.

According to a recent report by Corriere dello Sport, as cited by TalkSPORT, the Danish midfielder could switch Inter for the Gunners.

Supposedly, Antonio Conte would consider swapping the former Spurs man, just a year on from his move to Italy, for Arsenal’s Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka in January.

It is also noted in Corriere dello Sport’s report that Xhaka is no longer the ‘immovable player‘ that he has been in recent seasons following Thomas Partey’s arrival.

This report was relayed to Spurs fans on social media by Talking THFC and had lots of them airing their thoughts.

So far this season, Eriksen has made five Serie A appearances for Inter in which he has neither scored a goal nor provided an assist for a teammate (per WhoScored).

His performances in the five outings have earned the Dane a weak 6.36/10 average rating which has made him the fifth-worst performer in Conte’s squad.

As can be seen in what these Spurs fans had to say, many of them were furious after the transfer link between Eriksen and rivals Arsenal emerged.

Given the history between the two teams, it is no surprise that some Spurs fans have taken issue with one of their former players potentially turning out for their neighbours across north London.
