How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? 1. Who is Spurs' top scorer in all competitions so far this season?

On the subject of Kane, who scored Spurs’ winning goal in their 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the weekend, Gold had this to say on the Englishman.

He said: “He’s an incredible player and one of Spurs’ own. I was going to say Spurs are fortunate to have him, but that’s probably unfair because they made him, essentially. Harry Kane obviously made himself, but he came through at Spurs on the whole and he’s just a tremendous player.

“I just notice something new about him every single week I watch him, a new little facet of his play and it’s thrilling as a journalist to be able to watch a player like that, I feel fortunate to watch a player [like Kane].

“I’m not going to compare him directly to the likes of [Cristiano] Ronaldo and [Lionel] Messi because I think they are just incredible players that have been in a league of their own, but I do feel fortunate to watch him and just watch this player growing as well as a player and learning; he soaks up how to play the game every match and comes back stronger in the next game. Phenomenal player.”

Kane made his senior debut for Spurs back in 2011 during Spurs’ 0-0 draw against Hearts in the Europa League under former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp.

Since then, the 27-year-old, who is currently valued at £108 million, has made a total of 301 appearances for the club across all competitions in which he has managed to score 201 goals (per Transfermarkt).

Kane’s performance against West Brom at the weekend earned him an impressive match rating of 8.47/10, making him the highest-rated player on the pitch (per WhoScored).

Listening to what Gold had to say about Kane in his video, it’s clear that he has a very high opinion of the striker and enjoys watching him play for Spurs every week.

Looking at the Englishman’s fantastic goals record for the north London club, it’s hard to not see why Gold is such a fan of Kane’s.

In our view, Kane’s goalscoring record speaks for itself and proves that he has been a fantastic player for Spurs in recent years.
