Many Newcastle United fans have flocked to an injury update involving Paul Dummett that recently emerged on social media.
The Chronicle recently relayed a tweet involving an article which contained an update involving Dummett. The piece, which was written by journalist Lee Ryder, said that the defender has now suffered another injury and it happens to be a hamstring problem.
Because of this injury, Dummett could now be out of action for the rest of the year. The Chronicle’s tweet involving this update caught the attention of many Toon fans, who made their opinions clear about Dummett’s new injury.
What did Newcastle fans make of this update involving Paul Dummett?
What a surprise. Is that another hamstring injury in the squad?! Anyone care to ask the question why this is happening? Dummett, Wilson and Fraser all out with same injury. Training methods / physio issues?

Dummett last played for the Magpies in January 2020 against Wolves, but he was taken off in that game because of a tendon injury. As a result of that, he was ruled out for the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign (as per the Chronicle).
The Welshman had featured for the Newcastle Under-23s against the Fulham Under-23s side last month and even played against Leeds United’s Under-23s side earlier this month (as per Transfermarkt).
Some other Toon fans also reacted to the latest update involving the 29-year-old defender.
Contract needs null and voiding get Jetro in immediately

Just get rid of him. Far too many injuries recently. Same for players like Carroll, Gayle and Clark. Decent sqaud players but availabilty is the best quality a player can have

Hes literally pointless been out for about 2 years just get rid https://t.co/o6yZf1B78g

Some Newcastle fans are frustrated about Dummett’s injuries and others want the club to part ways with the player.
Apart from Dummett, Newcastle have a total of four out-and-out options for the centre-back role. So the 29-year-old does add depth to the backline and before sustaining the injury last season, he was a regular part of the club’s first-team. He can play at centre-back and at left-back.
Because of all that, he might still be a useful part of the side. So selling Dummett doesn’t make sense for Newcastle.
