A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a post from Nick De Marco, one of the lawyers hired by Mike Ashley to help force through the proposed takeover of the Toon by PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers, which was withdrawn in July.
In the post, De Marco includes four pictures of some ‘stottie’ that he has made, which is a Geordie loaf of bread, drawing the attention of many Toon fans, who are excited by what the reason behind the tweet could be.
So, what did these Newcastle fans think of De Marco’s tweet?
It’s on

That’s the takeover done lads. What else could this possibly mean?

Do you think this means anything?
No, he just fancied baking some bread
Yes, this is positive for the takeover
De Marco was hired along with Shaheed Fatima in September after a second attempt to get the Saudi-backed takeover through behind closed doors failed.
That was the last we heard of anything until Newcastle Consortium Supporters Limited launched a legal challenge, which was followed by the Premier League revealing that the Toon had also launched one of their own, which is presumably the case De Marco is involved in.
His latest post continued to draw in many Newcastle fans, who are clearly excited by this tweet.

De Marco has posted a series of tweets that have intrigued Newcastle fans over the past few weeks, including some of his previous bread-making attempts as well as oil paintings and a black and white picture of a French cathedral.
The lawyer is described as the “Lionel Messi of Sports Law“, so you would think that if anyone were going to get this takeover through, it would be him.
Certainly, these Newcastle fans believe he will, so it will be intriguing to see what happens with this legal challenge in the coming weeks.
