A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to the latest post from Nick De Marco, one of Mike Ashley’s lawyers hired to help him force through the proposed takeover of the Toon by PCP Capital Partners, PIF, and the Reuben brothers.
This latest post from the lawyer contained a picture of some Guinness and what looks like an art studio and a claim that all three of his teams drew, which has drawn the attention of many Toon fans.
What did these Newcastle fans think of this post?
One of your teams won yesterday Nick…. 0-2 at Palace. #nufc #nicksageordie #NUFCTakeover #pif @ghodoussi @jamiereuben

Do you think De Marco will help force the takeover through?
Yes, he is going to do it
No, he will fail
Ashley appointed De Marco along with Shaheed Fatima after a second attempt to get the takeover through behind closed doors failed.
The initial bid was withdrawn in July after the league couldn’t reach a decision on the owners’ and directors’ test.
So, now the bid is with the legal teams, the Toon released an official statement confirming that they were in a legal battle with the Premier League and this is presumably the one that De Marco is involved in.
His post continued to draw in many Newcastle fans who had their say on De Marco’s tweet.
He knows we have all lost the plot with this takeover … he can’t tell us anything even if he wanted to … that’s why he is good at his job and why he gets paid the big bucks … the wait goes on! Have a good weekend Nick … get it done for the keys to the city#nickisageordie

It is unclear what this legal action will achieve, but if it is successful, then the consortium will bid again, and finally, the Toon might have new owners, so it is understandable why so many Newcastle fans are hoping that De Marco can help Ashley win his legal battle.
