A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Liam Kennedy that contains a link to an article he has produced on where the proposed takeover of Newcastle is currently at.
The Shields Gazette reporter claims that the deal involving PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers, that was withdrawn in July, is still alive.
He then claimed that things are moving, and pressure is being applied to get the desired outcome.
The piece then mentions the legal challenge made by Newcastle Consortium Supporters Limited (NCSL).
He claims that they don’t think that the takeover got a fair hearing initially, and to do that, the group want the Premier League to disclose documents, which they believe will show that the takeover was not dealt with fairly.
Finally, Kennedy claims that today marks two weeks since the Premier League asked for more time to respond to the NCSL’s request to disclose these documents, and though they are likely to respond, the Shields Gazette reporter doesn’t think that they will comply and that this is heading for court.
This post from Kennedy has drawn the attention of many Newcastle fans who are not convinced by this legal action and don’t think it will achieve anything.
So, what did these Newcastle fans make of Kennedy’s takeover tweet?
Nothing is happening with NUFC takeover, there is no takeover

When ‘all parties’ includes the PL then I’ll be content. I’m desperate for the Pif takeover to succeed but been hurt too many times by this Club, and in particular, this regime.

Do we know anything more about the Nic Dimarco action?
I’ve asked this question on Steve’s show and it’s never been discussed.
This fan based action for me is just nuisance factor.
If there is no Nic Dimarco action…there is no prospect of a takeover.— MagpieDave (@DavidLi65476220) November 16, 2020
Do you think this action will lead to anything?
No, this is dead, time to move on
Yes, this will work
Though, other Toon fans seem more grateful to Kennedy and are also confident that the takeover will finally be done.
Stepping stones to the end game, thanks Liam

This saga has been going on since April when the league were handed the deal to look at, and we are now in November, and there has still been no resolution to the takeover.
It is clear from the responses that some Newcastle fans don’t think that this action will achieve anything, while others are a bit more positive.
So, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
