Supporters of Newcastle United have reacted to a Twitter post from Lee Ryder which relayed an admission from Toon boss Steve Bruce.
On Wednesday, Ryder wrote a piece for Chronicle Live in which Newcastle’s manager revealed ‘what upsets him’ the most in his position at the club.
In the piece, Bruce explained that it was the Toon’s lack of consistency that was his “biggest frustration” in the North East.
These comments were made in relation to United’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Southampton on Friday. He said: “The inconsistency is the big thing that upsets me the most because we didn’t look anywhere near where we were the game before.”
After this was relayed to social media by Ryder, lots of supporters flocked to it to air their thoughts.
So, what did these Newcastle fans have to say regarding the admission from Steve Bruce?

Must be hard for a guy taking a job nobody wanted, trying his absoutle best but getting slated every week while the last guy who produced the same sort of stats points and often displays is classed as the best manager ever.

Come on Lee. You hear it all the time but watching games under Bruce has been no joy, boring most times apart from 1 or 3 games but his record speaks for itself, Steve isn’t cut out for the prem level. It’s time for change with a modern coach but I don’t think Ashley will.

So far this season, the Toon have won three matches in the Premier League, however, every victory in the top flight has been followed by a defeat (per Transfermarkt).
Do you believe that Steve Bruce is the man responsible for Newcastle's lack of consistency?
Yes, the fault is with him
No, it's not his fault
Decent league position quarter finals of a cup better then most we’ve had recently. Also the problem at NUFC is the owner..

We are consistently bad though ???? so he’s most upset that we’re not consistent – yet the good performances are few and far between.
18 months and we’re just awful and only unexplainable luck has got us where we are.— Richard Patterson (@spaniels1980) November 11, 2020
Upsets him that he’s robbing his home town club as he’s good good enough to manage them and won’t resign

Seriously just resign and walk away before you kill our already wounded football club. It’s because of your inept clueless lack of ability in the modern game other than relying on luck that’s the problem you absolute tool #bruceout #NUFC https://t.co/UG0PCFU0Cv

You manage and coach the team. The lack of inconsistency is down to you and how you set the team up and instructions for the game.

As can be seen in these responses from the St. James’ Park faithful, some fans chose to hold Bruce accountable for his “biggest frustration” while others lay the blame elsewhere.
