A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Rafael Benitez, who claimed that he was ‘back home’.
The current manager of Dalian Professional and former Toon boss posted a picture of himself with his three dogs and wrote that he was ‘back home‘ with the hashtag ‘England’.
This drew the attention of a lot of Newcastle fans, who are desperate for their former boss to return to Tyneside.
So, what did these Toon fans make of Benitez’s tweet?

Would you want Benitez back?
Yes, I would love him back
No, he has had his time
Benitez was in charge of Newcastle from March 2016 until June 2019, and in that time, he achieved promotion from the Championship and in two full seasons, finished tenth and 13th in the Premier League.
The Spaniard could see the potential that the Toon have as a club, and that was why he was so loved by many of the fans.
His replacement, Steve Bruce, is under pressure from many fans, with the club bottom or near the bottom of most underlying attacking and defensive statistics in the league this season.
However, he retains the faith of Mike Ashley, so these Toon fans begging Benitez to come back are likely to be disappointed, but that didn’t stop them from asking.
Welcome home @rafabenitezweb – FYI – We would love to have you back at the Toon ??

Benitez represented hope to the Toon fans, and his replacement spends most of the time hitting back at fans or claiming that they can’t score two goals every week.
So, it is no wonder that these Newcastle fans want the Spaniard to return to Tyneside.
