Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays the news of Mike Dean’s appointment as referee for the club’s upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The Premier League announced on their website that Dean will take charge of the fixture, with Darren Cann and Dan Robathan being the assistants, with the fourth official being Andy Madley and Kevin Friend being the VAR official.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to Mike Dean’s appointment as referee for the club’s clash with Manchester City?

The absolute worst of referees who has an uncanny ability to make the game about him each and every time

In his career as a referee, Dean has so far overseen 70 Tottenham matches, of which the club have won 30, drawn 19 and lost 21, with the 52-year-old issuing 121 yellow cards to Spurs players, five of which have gone on to become a red card via a second booking. However, he has never given a Tottenham player a straight red card.
Do you think the appointment of Dean decreases Spurs' chance of winning against City?
Yes
No
In comparison, Dean has been appointed referee of 75 of City’s fixtures, of which the club have won 38, drawn 14 and lost 23, with the official dishing out 143 yellow cards to City players, six of which have turned into red cards after a second booking, as well as five straight red cards.
Literally the fix is in

All in all, it would appear the vast majority of these Spurs fans are not happy with the appointment of Dean as the referee for their club’s fixture against Manchester City, despite the fact that the 52-year-old has issued a much larger number of yellow and red cards to City’s players in comparison to Tottenham’s over the years.
