A lot of Leeds United fans have been sharing their thoughts on the possibility of Marcelo Bielsa’s side making a move for Liverpool attacker Divock Origi in the January transfer window.

This comes after Leeds United Live made a Facebook post sharing an article that was recently published by Leeds Live which relayed the news that ex-England forward Kevin Phillips has claimed that the Yorkshire club “is definitely a potential destination” for Origi should he depart from Anfield in January, as per Football Insider.

The £14.4m-rated Belgian striker was linked with a move to Elland Road back in the summer transfer window and with Origi having made just five appearances for the Reds so far this season, only one of which has come in the Premier League, Phillips has shared that he thinks “a fresh challenge” could be exactly what the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League winner needs and it seems as though the pundit expects the Whites to be in the running for the 25-year-old’s signature.

So, what did these Leeds United fans have to say about Phillips’ claim that their club ‘is definitely a potential destination’ for Origi?

While one particular Whites fan indicated that they wouldn’t mind seeing Origi at Elland Road, many of the Leeds supporters who commented on Leeds United Live’s Facebook post reacted negatively to Phillips’ claim and shared that they wouldn’t want Leeds to sign Origi.

One Leeds United fan commented on this post to share that they’d like to see ex-Whites player James Milner move from Liverpool to Leeds instead of Origi.

So, it certainly seems from these Leeds fans’ comments that Origi wouldn’t be a massively popular signing amongst the Yorkshire club’s fanbase.
