Many Leeds United supporters have flocked to a recent Twitter post from their club captain Liam Cooper.
Cooper started and played the entire 90 minutes for Scotland during their UEFA Nations League defeat to Slovakia over the weekend (as per BBC Sport). Steve Clarke made as many as eight changes from the side that sealed Scotland’s place in the upcoming European Championships with a penalty-shootout win over Serbia last week.
During the fixture with Slovakia, Scotland had 14 attempts at goal in comparison to the hosts who managed just eight (as per BBC Sport) but unfortunately, their superiority in that department failed to count for much as Jan Gregus’ goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.
In his tweet, Cooper expressed his disappointment at the fact his side were unable to take any points from the fixture but made it clear to the supporters that representing his country, for him, is ‘always an honour’.
How have these Leeds fans responded to Liam Cooper’s Twitter post?
Unlucky – well played

Not even sure how Scotland lost that game! So many chances wasted. Maybe you should tap Patrick hatrick up, I am sure he must have a Highland terrier or something to qualify ??

Although some of the Leeds fans took to the social media platform to praise the 29-year-old’s display, others were clearly concerned about the possibility of him returning to Elland Road injured ahead of their upcoming fixture with Arsenal, scheduled to take place on November 22.
