Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club confirmed that Charlie Cresswell has signed a new deal with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
According to a statement on the club website, the 18-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a new two-and-a-half-year deal, which will see him remain at Elland Road until the summer of 2023, something which the club said they were ‘delighted’ with.

While Cresswell made his debut for Leeds in a fixture against Hull City in the Carabao Cup back in Septemeber, he has spent the majority of this season with the club’s U23 side, featuring seven times for Mark Jackson’s team, who occupy second place in the Premier League 2 table.

All in all, it would appear the majority of these Leeds fans are over the moon with the new contract of Cresswell, with many stating their belief that the defender is destined for the very top of the game, while others have even claimed the 18-year-old is better than Liam Cooper.
