Fans of Tottenham Hostpur have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relayed comments made by Jose Mourinho regarding the situation of Spurs’ on-loan midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
In an interview with SporTV (via Sport Witness), the Tottenham manager said that he understood the situation of Fernandes, and that if the midfielder’s parent club Benfica want ‘to end the relationship’, Spurs would ‘be here to collaborate’ because the club ‘want the good of the player’.
He continued by stating that Benfica ‘have the power to decide’ whether or not they want to bring the player back early, and that whatever the Portuguese club so decide, ‘it will be accepted’ by Tottenham.
Finally, Mourinho claimed that he would: ‘never be the one to push him or say that I don’t want him here, because I do’.
So, what did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to Jose Mourinho’s comments regarding Gedson Fernandes?
This deal was nothing but Jorge Mendes moving money around. Laundry scheme.

Since arriving at Spurs in January, the £12.15 million-rated 21-year-old has made just 13 appearances for the club, scoring no goals and providing no assists.
Should Spurs send Gedson Fernandes back to Benfica in January?
Yes, he's not good enough
No, he has got potential
As such, it is perhaps not surprising to see that so many Tottenham fans are keen for Benfica to cancel the loan deal of the player, with many more taking to Twitter to share their feelings on Mourinho’s comments.
Please, Benfica.
End it now. ??#COYS #THFC https://t.co/SyqUZXoQG4

All in all, it would appear clear that the majority of these Tottenham fans are keen for Benfica to terminate Fernandes’ loan deal, with some suggesting that they can’t remember a single thing the midfielder has done in his time at the club.
