Speaking on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano provided an update on the future of Everton centre-forward, Moise Kean.

After arriving at Everton from Juventus in what was a £24.75 million deal last summer, Kean went on to make 29 Premier League appearances for the club during their 2019/20 campaign, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

However, after making four appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s side this season, the club then accepted a loan bid from Paris Saint-Germain for the £22.5 million-rated 20-year-old, seeing the forward spend the rest of season in Paris.

And, since arriving at PSG, Kean has highly impressed, scoring three goals over his four league appearances for Thomas Tuchel’s side, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.28 – ranking him as the club’s sixth-best performer in the French top flight.

In addition to this fine league form, the striker has also performed admirably in the Champions League for PSG, scoring two goals and providing one assist over his three appearances, averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.90 – ranking him as the club’s fifth-best performer in the competition.

However, according to Romano, if PSG hold out any hope of signing the 20-year-old on a permanent deal next summer, it appears as if they will be sorely disappointed, as, speaking on a recent episode of the Here We Go podcast, the journalist claimed that Everton see Kean as a big part of their future.

He said: “[He has had a] fantastic start to [the] season, but he will [go] back to Everton. Everton are convinced that the player will [come] back. They’re not going to negotiate with Paris Saint-Germain, they want the player back.

“Also, if you talk with Carlo Ancelotti and people around him, they say, ‘yes, [it’s a] good deal for Paris Saint-Germain, but the player is coming back, and we want him as [a] star of Everton in the future’.

“So, pay attention because there is no buy option for Paris Saint-Germain. If they want Moise Kean they have to negotiate with [Everton] and, at the moment, Everton are convinced that the player is coming back.”

TIF Thoughts on Fabrizio Romano’s comments regarding Moise Kean…

From Romano’s comments, it is abundantly clear that the journalist is of the belief that, upon the expiry of Kean’s loan deal with PSG, the player will be returning to Everton.

And, considering the improvement in his goalscoring returns in his short time at PSG, in comparison to his first season at Everton, it would appear that the French side have given the Premier League club a huge helping hand in developing the Italian international as a centre-forward.
