Many Celtic fans have been fuming at the latest tweet that journalist Keith Jackson recently relayed on social media.

Jackson recently shared an article that he wrote for the Daily Record. The article concerned the upcoming Old Firm derby.

The article said that Celtic have been ‘coughing and spluttering’ since the 2020/21 Premiership campaign started off. Jackson believes that Neil Lennon’s men are still looking to reach the levels that they hit last season, regardless of the pandemic. The piece claims that the Gers are excelling because of a lack of distraction from the crowd, but the Hoops are not ‘quite themselves’ because of the lack of crowds at stadiums.

The Hoops are unbeaten in the Premiership this season and have drawn just once as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Kilmarnock. They have also made it to the group stages of the UEFA Europa League (as per Transfermarkt).

They beat the Gers twice in all competitions last season. One of those victories came in the League Cup final (as per Transfermarkt).

Some other Celtic fans were also not happy about Jackson’s article.

These Celtic fans clearly didn’t like Jackson’s article and they are voicing their opinions very clearly.

The Hoops have won all of their last five league games and the Gers have won four, drawing one. Neil Lennon’s side have scored more goals than Rangers in the Premiership campaign as well (as per BBC Sport).

Celtic could be without four players – as the trio of Hatem Abd Elhamed, Nir Bitton and Odsonne Edouard have tested positive and Ryan Christie is in isolation. It remains to be seen if their absence has any impact on the Old Firm or not, but Celtic will clearly come into the game with a better league form over the last five games.

Fans can only hope that this good form continues and the Hoops aren’t too affected by the potential absences of Bitton, Elhamed, Edouard and Christie.
