Many Celtic fans have been talking about the comments that journalist Tom English has recently made about Neil Lennon.

BBC Sportsound recently relayed a tweet that had a video involving English. The journalist talked about Lennon and he said that the Celtic manager doesn’t need support when the club is winning trophies but he needs support from the fans when the club is in a ‘little dip’. He believes that Lennon isn’t getting support from some fans, but other fans who see the bigger picture are still supporting him.

Celtic were recently held to a 3-3 draw by Aberdeen and before that, they had lost to AC Milan in the Europa League and had lost in the Old Firm derby too (as per Transfermarkt).

Despite the recent poor run of form, Kenny Dalglish has defended Lennon and he urged the club’s supporters to back the club’s manager. English’s comments though, caught the attention of some other Celtic fans as well and they disagreed with what he had to say.

These Celtic fans don’t agree with English’s comments for different reasons and they seem to have criticism for Lennon as well.

Lennon had helped Celtic win the title in the 2019/20 season and in the 2018/19 season as well. He also helped the team win the Premiership title three times in his initial stint as the club’s manager. He has also won two Scottish Cup titles as Celtic manager (as per Transfermarkt).

This shows that he’s done a lot at Celtic and because of that, he deserves some support from fans as well.
