Starting with an easy one - which club was McGregor loaned out to in the 2013-14 season?

When discussing a number of his former teammates, the Wales defender mentioned Victor Wanyama who signed for the club in the same summer and here is what he had to say with regards to the Kenyan:

“Victor Wanyama signed the same year as me, [an] absolute beast. Victor is an absolute tank, I think he was 19 or 20 when he came, you could not get past him, you ran into him, he didn’t lift a weight, you ran into him and it was like hitting a brick wall, he was unbelievable.”

Do you think Victor Wanyama could have gone on to become a Celtic legend?

TIF Thoughts on Adam Matthews’ comments regarding Victor Wanyama…

It’s clear from what the ex-Celtic man had to say that he was impressed with the player’s physicality when he first arrived in Glasgow. Wanyama, who now plays his football in MLS with Montreal Impact went on to earn a £13.05m move to the Premier League to join Southampton and three years later he joined Tottenham Hotspur (as per Transfermarkt) for whom he made 97 appearances.

During his time at Parkhead however, the now 29-year-old won two Scottish Premiership titles and a Scottish Cup. Although Wanyama no longer plays his football in the English top-flight, it appears that has not influenced Matthews’ opinion regarding his former teammate with whom he experienced success in Glasgow.
