A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account in which they relayed some comments that were made by Toon manager Steve Bruce about the North East club’s upcoming opponents in the Premier League, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Newcastle United are yet to lose to Wolves since Bruce took over at St. James’ Park in the summer of 2019, with the 59-year-old’s side taking a point from both of their Premier League clashes with Wolves last season.
As per the Toon’s official Twitter account, Bruce was complimentary about Wolves ahead of his side’s next Premier League meeting with the West Midlands club, describing them as ‘a very good side,’ before he went on to admit that he anticipates this weekend’s clash with Wolves will ‘be a very difficult game’ for the Toon, however, he also shared some optimism about the fact that his team didn’t lose to the Old Gold last season.
So, how did these Newcastle United fans react to Bruce’s comments about Wolves?
SB on Wolves:
"They're a very good side and have finished 7th twice now. We're under no illusions it'll be a very difficult game but they didn't beat us last year." pic.twitter.com/yDj7Kiw6tL

The Newcastle boss’ comments on Wolves didn’t go down very well with many of the Toon supporters who replied to this tweet from their club.
I feel for the social media guys having to actually type this out and press send.

Some of the Newcastle fans who replied to this tweet slated the 59-year-old manager over these comments.
Another defeat incoming. He’s Clueless and out of he’s depth.

So he is in full defence mode again – this season is going to be awful if he continues

Plenty of the Toon supporters who replied to this post suggested that Bruce thinks every game is going to be a difficult one for his side.
Every game is difficult according to you Steve even Newport. You are making Pardew look half decent you absolute pub manager. McClown was shocking but not as deluded as Bruce.

If he was playing my sons U12 team, he’d be telling us how difficult it was going to be. He literally saps the life out of everything around him. How about focusing on NUFC for once?

Is there a team he’s not scared of playing…

Some Newcastle fans continued to criticise Bruce in response to this post from the club, with some Toon supporters sharing that they think the 59-year-old is ‘negative’ in response to these comments on Wolves.
Our aim should be to go out and beat them!! Sounds negative already from SB in my opinion. That was in the past, it’s history. We have a lot stronger tram this time round.

Bruce is so negative can’t stand him

Did Bruce's comments on Wolves upset you?
YES
NO
So, judging by these Toon fans’ reactions to the Newcastle boss’ comments, it certainly seems as though Bruce’s words on Wolves have not gone down well with a significant portion of the North East club’s supporters.
