The Athletic’s Wolverhampton Wanderers correspondent Tim Spiers has recently discussed the injury to Swansea City loanee Morgan Gibbs-White.

Back in August, the English youngster made a season-long loan move from the Old Gold to the Swans (per BBC).

In the Championship, the midfielder has made four appearances so far this season in which he has scored one goal and provided one assist (per WhoScored).

However, during the Swans’ 2-1 win over Millwall in early October, the midfielder fractured his foot and is set for a three-month spell on the sidelines.

During the latest episode of The Athletic’s The Molineux View podcast, Spiers was asked if the player would be staying with Swansea for treatment before discussing Gibbs-White.

To kick off this quiz on Conor Coady, what shirt number does the Englishman currently wear for the Old Gold?

He said: “Yeah, I believe he’s still in Swansea [receiving treatment] at the moment. [We’re] unlikely to see him for three months with an ankle injury.

“[It’s a] devastating blow for him.

“In typical fashion of myself, as a journalist, I did write a glowing article on him two days before it was announced that he would be missing the next three months.”

As can be seen in what Spiers had to say about Gibbs-White, it seems as though the midfielder will be staying in Swansea for treatment on his injury.

Although the journalist did claim it was an “ankle injury”, it has been reported that the 20-year-old Englishman has a fractured foot (per Express and Star).

Over his four Championship appearances for Swansea, Gibbs-White picked up an impressive 7.11/10 average rating which made him the Swans’ sixth-best performer in the league.

So, hopefully, the midfielder can get back to match fitness before too long and continue his impressive performances in the second tier.
