To kick off this quiz on West Ham's 2019/20 season, which side did the Hammers' first win of the term come against?

One of the topics that he spent some time on was the relationship between David Moyes and David Gold and David Sullivan.

This follows on from a frustrating summer international transfer window that saw the Hammers only sign Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal.

The domestic transfer window might prove to be more successful with Said Benrahma currently having a medical and Craig Dawson having joined on loan for the season.

However, Moyes was annoyed the club sold Grady Diangana against his wishes.

Ex, though, revealed that Moyes’ relationship with Sullivan is not bad and that he gets on very well with Gold.

It seems then that Moyes has a good relationship with Gold, and though it not as good with Sullivan, it isn’t too bad either.

He said: “Moyes and David Gold get on very well, it was David Gold that wanted Moyes to be the manager [before he initially left], and we replaced him with [Manuel] Pellegrini.

“So, that is for certain, that those two have a really strong relationship.

“[With] David Sullivan, I think the relationship is probably not as strong, but I don’t think it’s bad.”

Is this a good thing?

TIF Thoughts…

It is interesting that Gold wanted to keep Moyes on when they decided to replace him with Manuel Pellegrini in May 2018, so judging by that, it should be no real surprise that the Hammers brought the former Everton boss back when they decided to sack Pellegrini last year.

It seems that Moyes and Sullivan do not get on as well as Moyes and Gold, but there also don’t seem to be too many problems either.

So, it looks like for now, Moyes has a strong relationship with Gold and a decent relationship with Sullivan, and, in our view, the two wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leicester City can hardly have harmed those relationships.
