A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by Spurs news Twitter account @thespursweb in which they asked Lilywhites fans to share their thoughts on Spurs midfielder Harry Winks’ performance in the north London club’s 3-0 UEFA Europa League win over LASK on Thursday evening.
The 24-year-old played the entirety of this game and earned the 10th-highest overall WhoScored rating (7.15) of any Lilywhites player in the contest.
Winks played the third-highest number of passes (63) and the joint-highest number of accurate long-balls (eight) of any Spurs player in this game, according to WhoScored.
So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans react to this tweet asking Spurs supporters to share their thoughts on Winks’ performance versus LASK?

Despite those passing stats, many of the Spurs fans who replied to @thespursweb’s tweet about Winks slammed the £25.2m-rated midfielder’s performance in this game.
Never going to be a top player, You would have to say that Winks, Lamela or Sanchez would not get into the top 10 premiership teams so why should they get into ours.

Typical performance from him. Did nothing for attack did nothing for the defence. Just walks around and passes sideways, a slightly diagonal ball is the best we’re ever gonna see from him. He is the one player that HAS NOT improved since his debut.

Needs more composure. Not sure he fits the Jose mould.

Running round like a headless chicken

One particular Spurs fan declared that Winks was ‘bang average against bang average opponents’ on Thursday while another Tottenham supporter shared that they think he was the Lilywhites’ worst player in this game.
Bang average against bang average opponents. He’s not at our level, certainly not consistently.

The worst player on the pitch

Meanwhile, other Tottenham fans raised some doubts about whether or not the player is even good enough to be at the north London club, with one Spurs supporter sharing that they think Winks is ‘playing himself out of this club very quickly’ and another Lilywhites fan stating that the 24-year-old would have been sold by now ‘if he wasn’t English.’
He’s behind Skipp and he’s not at the club! Seriously he’s been poor for ages. Too much side to side. Losing the ball. Poor tackles. If he wasn’t English he’d have been sold I reckon.

Utterly awful. Playing himself out of this club very quickly. No touch, poor passi g, no vision, no control & poor decision making

Should Spurs sell Winks?
YES
NO
So, judging by these Tottenham fans’ replies to this post, it certainly seems as though Winks’ performance in this game didn’t go down very well with them at all.
