Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to an image of Matt Doherty receiving treatment during the Republic of Ireland’s game against Slovakia on Thursday night.
The right-back, who joined Spurs from Wolves in the summer, is pictured receiving treatment during their semi-final play-off fixture against Slovakia (via The Spurs Web). However, the knock he picked up (22:06) doesn’t look to have been serious, as he remained on the pitch for the full 90 minutes before unfortunately missing the decisive penalty in the shootout, which ended Stephen Kenny’s side’s hopes of qualifying for the Euros next summer (per BBC).
Therefore, it doesn’t seem as if his possible injury was enough to rule him out, and you would hope that he will be available for Spurs’ next fixture against West Ham. However, after Serge Aurier’s superb display in the 6-1 win against Manchester United, Jose Mourinho will be safe in the knowledge that he has an excellent back-up in case Doherty is unable to feature against the Hammers.
Do you think Doherty will be fine for Spurs' next fixture?
Yes
No

This why Mourinho was moaning about Kane. International football should be put on hold until next year.

Other Spurs fans seem confident that he will be fine, considering he managed to play on and finish the match.
Well if he carried on then it can’t be serious

He must have been ok, he was fit to carry on and miss the decisive penalty.

He’s fine. Still running

Overall, whilst some Spurs fans bemoaned the fact that he required treatment during an international game, other Lilywhites supporters seem to believe that he will be fine for their next fixture.
