Joe Thomlinson, Zac Djellab and Patrick van Straaten featured on the most recent edition of Football Daily’s Sunday Vibes to discuss all of the latest Premier League news and they talked about the form of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane during the show.

Kane has enjoyed a very positive start to the 2020/21 campaign. The England captain has scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in nine appearances for Spurs in all competitions so far this term, with eight of those assists coming in the Premier League, meaning that the 27-year-old has bested his highest-ever Premier League assists tally in just six league appearances thus far.

How well can you remember the last few weeks of Spurs action? 1. Which played scored a hattrick against Maccabi Haifa?

Kane is also currently the Lilywhites’ highest-rated player in England’s top flight so far this season according to WhoScored, with the £108m-rated man earning an overall rating of 8.48/10 from his six league appearances so far this term.

This overall WhoScored rating also makes Kane the highest-rated player in the entirety of the Premier League for the 2020/21 season at present.

With that in mind, it mightn’t be too surprising that Djellab was full of praise for the Englishman’s form during this recent edition of Football Daily’s Sunday Vibes, saying: “Those injuries that he picked up really just looked like they’d had an effect on him but now, he looks like he’s been reborn again.

“He’s moving much better than he was previously and just the runs when he’s carrying the ball forward when he’s making the runs for other people and his passing ability at the moment is ridiculous.”

TIF Thoughts on what Djellab had to say about Kane…

As can be seen in what Djellab had to say, it certainly seems as though he believes that Kane has looked better than he has in a while at the start of the 2020/21 campaign.

Additionally, it’s clear that Kane’s impressive start to the season from a playmaking perspective has particularly impressed him, which may not be too surprising considering his impressive assists tally at present and the fact that this side of Kane’s game has received plenty of praise of late, with the Daily Mail recently referring to the Spurs man as a ‘pass master.’

It will be interesting to see if Kane can maintain his current level of performance as this season progresses.

If he does, then perhaps he could be in with a shout of claiming his first PFA Players’ Player of the Year award this term, with the Englishman having already won both the PFA Fans’ Player of the Year award and the PFA Young Player of the Year award in the past.
