Jamie Brown from the Daily Hotspur has been discussing the club’s signing of Joe Hart during a recent edition of the Last Word On Spurs podcast alongside Ricky Sacks and Martin Lipton as they reviewed the recent transfer window.
The Lilywhites were busy in the transfer market adding Gareth Bale, Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Carlos Vinicius and the 33-year-old stopper (as per Transfermarkt).
The Shrewsbury-born goalkeeper is a former two-time Premier League winner and as well as having 75 England caps to his name, he has also enjoyed success in both the domestic cup competitions.
Brown clearly believes his experience adds plenty to the dressing room and after a discussion about what Hojbjerg brings to the squad, on the subject of Hart, he said:
“We brought another guy through the door who I felt also added to the mentality of the dressing room. It definitely split opinions amongst the fanbase, and that signing was Joe Hart.”
TIF Thoughts…
Having played 340 times in the English top flight to date, keeping 127 clean sheets along the way (as per Transfermarkt), in our view, he will at the very least bring some added experience to Jose Mourinho’s side.
Are you pleased that Joe Hart has joined the club?
Yes
No
The Lilywhites have impressed of late, particularly during their 6-1 demolition of Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend and although Hart appears to be the second choice behind the club captain, Hugo Lloris, it is clear that the podcaster is excited about what he brings to the squad behind the scenes.
