Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been talking about the latest update involving Gareth Bale that recently emerged on social media.
Journalist Sami Mokbel recently reported that in Tottenham’s Europa League game against LASK Linz, Bale is ‘expected’ to make his first start for Spurs since he returned to the club in the summer transfer window.
This update was relayed on Twitter by the Spurs Express as well. It caught the attention of many Tottenham fans and they made their opinion clear about this news.

Bale did make an appearance for Spurs in their Premier League game against West Ham on Sunday. He came on from the bench but couldn’t prevent the Hammers from picking up a 3-3 draw. The Welshman did have a chance to score Spurs’ fourth but he dragged his effort wide (as per TalkSport).
Some other Spurs fans also reacted to the update involving the Welshman and they were also positive about this news.
he’s bagging a hat-trick https://t.co/VZCHKm3JSs

Obviously not fit against west ham, but even then he showed glimmers of class, imagine if he’s fully fit

For Real Madrid in the 2019/20 season, Bale had made just two appearances in the league post-lockdown and he didn’t play even once in the last seven games of the La Liga campaign (as per Transfermarkt).
It shows that he indeed is short of game time and he hasn’t played regularly in quite a while now. So it would only help Bale if he starts against LASK and that might allow him to regain fitness and match sharpness. Because of that, it is understandable why Spurs fans are glad that the Welshman could start on Thursday.
