Tottenham Hotspur fan and YouTuber Chris Cowlin shared his thoughts on the Lilywhites’ transfer window following the Premier League’s international deadline at 11 p.m. on Monday during the latest video that was posted to his YouTube channel and he talked about some departures that he is surprised didn’t happen before Monday’s deadline.

As per Transfermarkt, Kyle Walker-Peters is the only player that Tottenham sold prior to Monday’s transfer deadline, while Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm also left the club and Juan Foyth, Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon were sent out on loan.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

During this recent YouTube video, Cowlin discussed other potential Tottenham departures and he shared some surprise over the fact that the Spurs trio of Danny Rose, Paulo Gazzaniga and Cameron Carter-Vickers didn’t leave the club before Monday’s deadline, saying:

“If I am completely honest, three players still at the club – Danny Rose, Paulo Gazzaniga and Cameron Carter-Vickers – I find that very, very surprising.

“Earlier [on Monday], there were lots of reports out about Gazzaniga signing either for Everton or Liverpool or even Fulham – we’ve seen lots of reports out about him joining Fulham – none of them have materialised.

“But Cameron Carter-Vickers and Danny Rose are the two players that weren’t even given squad numbers at Tottenham for the 2020/21 season and, of course, we know that Danny Rose is now in his final year at Tottenham.”

Are you surprised these players didn't leave Spurs before Monday's deadline?

TIF Thoughts…

It has been reported that Gazzaniga has fallen ‘down the pecking order at Spurs’ following the signing of Joe Hart during the summer and considering that both Hart and Hugo Lloris have played games this season and Gazzaniga hasn’t, perhaps there may be some truth to that claim.

With that in mind, as well as the fact that, as Cowlin mentioned, Rose and Carter-Vickers were not given squad numbers for the 2020/21 Premier League campaign, it would certainly appear as though these players are not exactly seen as being key members of Jose Mourinho’s squad for this season and as a result, it may be understandable why Cowlin is surprised they didn’t leave the club before Monday’s deadline.

However, Spurs can still do business with EFL clubs until 16th October, so perhaps these players might still secure a move away from the north London club over the next week-and-a-half if they are willing to join a club in a lower division.
