Alasdair Gold, the Spurs correspondent for Football.london, has been reviewing the club’s transfer deadline day activity along with Lee Wilmot during a recent video.

The pair discussed a variety of topics with regards to the north London-based club and with regards to Danny Rose, who remains a Spurs player, Gold made a prediction. The left-back spent some time on loan with Newcastle United last season but has now returned to his parent club but despite the club bringing in Sergio Reguilon during the recent transfer window, for the time being at least, he remains a Spurs player.

How well can you remember the last week of Spurs action? 1. Who scored Spurs' first goal in the win against KF Shkendija?

Here is what Gold had to say once it was clear a deadline day move for the 30-year-old was not going to materialise:

“The interesting one is Danny Rose: how do I put this delicately? I wouldn’t be shocked if there was another Danny Rose outburst at some point in the coming weeks because he clearly hasn’t got the move he wanted.”

Will you be glad to see the back of Danny Rose?

TIF Thoughts…

Rose is clearly out of favour having been sent out on loan last season and he is yet to feature since the start of the new campaign. Taking that into consideration and the fact Spurs have strengthened in his position, it feels unlikely that he will get much game time.

The £14.4m-rated man is no stranger to controversy having previously spoken out about the fact he has felt undervalued by the Lilywhites and therefore, Gold’s prediction feels like a sensible one.

His current contract is due to expire in June 2021 and in our view, it is unlikely he will still be at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium beyond then.
